The host and the staff was excellent. The food matched their fun and positive attitude. Don't miss the chance to dine at this little hidden gem. Will definitely visit this place again.

Cute place, pretty fancy for the town I would say. I was excited cause I saw their menu online and they had mussels. I was super sad when going in and they didn't hve mussels that day. Apparently their menu changes everyday. I did find something else that was good. Pot roast, cabbage and mashed potatoes. All the waiters/waitresses were very nice and helpful. Great little place to eat!

We had a lovely meal here last night. They don't take reservations, but we were able to walk around Mineral Point a bit and then sit at the beautiful bar to wait for a table outside. We were eventually seated on the back patio in the garden, where we drank a well-priced cote du rhone and ate crisply fried calamari. Oddly, there were several amusing groups of ladies out for a "girls' night." This might be just the place for a single, middle-aged man to find true happiness. The entrees, both specials, did not disappoint. The duck and chorizo was well prepared--the stand-out side was the baked spinach. The trout was absolutely delicious, with fresh cucumbers (and tomatoes? it was getting dark on that patio) on the side. We skipped dessert, although the ladies at the table next to ours said they were outstanding. Prices were a little Chicago-leaning and they seem to be open some sporadic hours because of a lack of staff. That said, we were not disappointed. We definitely will be back.

My husband and I went to Mineral Point for our anniversary weekend. We checked the menu at several places before we chose MP dining. We were certainly not disappointed. It is an amazing restaurant with high ceilings, beautiful bar and a brick wood burning oven. Even though the menu that we received was a variation of the one that we saw online, we still were able to find meals that we both enjoyed. I would highly recommend getting a meal here and then going across the street to the brewery and getting a beer or wine and a desert.

We stopped in for a late appetizer of mussels and fresh baked baguette. It was a delight!

Awesome. Local, personal, top-notch food and service, great bar. Specifics--4 mushroom soup, wood fired pizza, fresh walleye, fine local brews on tap (& blumers root beer), international wines. All well priced. Get there!

We had a wonderful meal! Everything was great all around: food, drinks, service. It is a little on the expensive side, but fair given the quality of the food. I would say that it's a must visit if you're in the immediate area, and worth a little drive out of your way. The Old Fashioned was quite good, FYI.

We recently made the trek from Middleton to the MPDC on a Friday evening, at the request of some friends! It was a gorgeous country back roads drive that ended with us arriving at the quaint charming entrance to the restaurant. Upon entrance it's a warm cozy classy feel that seems to ooze with history and charm. We were seated promptly and our waiter Parish greeted us. We had drinks (the old fashioned left something to be desired unfortunately) and appetizers, which were a mixed bag. The wood-fired pizza was AMAZING, the chilled beet soup was watery and had a tasted of celery, the larb was just OK and lacked much texture. On to the main courses...we shared with the table and the best dinner was the steak frites...nothing too special but done well. The pot roast was just OK for Wisconsin but seemed a little lackluster in flavor. We also had the summer vegetable pasta which was good...but not overly memorable. As a double date us women split the lemon tart which tasted great...but is what we think made us both SICK for hours that evening. A call from my friend the next day around noon revealed we were both recovering from our evening after dinner The only thing we ate that our husbands didn't was the dessert. Overall the place had charm, the service was great, and the wood-fired pizza was phenomenal, but our over $200 bill and underwhelming rest of dinner was underwhelming... an hour drive for pizza in Mineral Point...probably not again!

We dine here often and we enjoy the menu. The service is always great. Try the mussels and steak. The portions are large enough to share or just get appetizer and salad if price is an issue. Very relaxing meal. And try the soups and desserts. Never had a bad one. And THANKFULLY no TVs - really tired of going to nice restaurants and finding the walls covered with flat screen TVs.
